The ELCL Quality Alliance is the only European non-govenmental organisation of foreign language programme providers whose high quality approach is anchored in a quality development and assurance system where the specialities of education and learning success are focal points based on research study. All accredited members fulfil the same quality requirements and are characterised by their common principles and quality understanding.

What started in 1856 with the founding of a small-scale German enterprise, has developed into an internationally active group of publishers with around 1,400 employees. At the start of the 21st century, the traditional publishers were internationally recognised as one of the most reputed companies worldwide in the fields of language, knowledge, German as well as Travel.

The Polish association of German teachers (Polskiego Stowarzyszenia Nauczycieli Języka Niemieckiego) has been in existence since 1993 and has been a member of the ‘Internationalen Deutschlehrerverband (IDV)’ since 1994, the international association of German teachers.

Die Tradenet Consulting gAG (Szakképzés-szervezési Nonprofit Kiemelkedően Közhasznú Zártkörűen Működő Részvénytársaság) ist in Ungarn am Aufbau der überbetrieblichen Bildungszentren (TISZK) aktiv beteiligt. Dabei legt sie im Rahmen ihrer Qualitätspolitik bei den Sprachmodulen der OKJ (modulare Fachbildung) ein besonderes Augenmerk auf die Umsetzung der GER Empfehlungen.

Members of the Alliance maintain quality development and assurance so that:
32 characteristics in 7 quality sectors with 152 indicators define the Alliance’s understanding of quality. Results of findings on professional practice experience and research on teaching and schools – with no claims to completeness – have been compiled in an orientation framework. The Framework of Reference serves as orientation in the development of lessons and identified these fields of school activity as being particularly decisive for the success of language programme providers.
The school should provide a framework for competency promoting teaching/learning processes. Learners, as responsible partners in learning outcomes, consider lessons as offers. A recommended model considers these and other special school characteristics facilitating a distinctive differentiation from ‘classic’ QM and assurance models. Essential components are understanding of quality, self-evaluation, individual feedback and evaluation by others.
The paramount aim of a language programme provider is the successful promotion of communicative competences of their learners. The degree to which the school achieves this – the effectivity, can be measured by the outcomes of school work – the learning outcomes, school-satisfaction as a whole and other school successes. These are defined to a large degree through school framework requirements and process qualities, with the focal point being teaching/learning processes. All other processes are aligned to this

Language programme providers can apply for Membership here. Thereafter, a quality inspection will be conducted.

The professionalism of foreign language teachers is an essential prerequisite for good teaching/learning processes. Teachers are provided with the possibility of attaining certification here.

Membership is bound by the prerequisite of an approval process which appraises the compliance to minimum standard requirements and evaluates the is-situation.
